“ This is great little gem! I love that you can just go to get a wonderful nice meal and drinks or actually a food/drink experience. We were beyond blessed to be able to try Japanese wagyu (something I’m not sure I’d ever get to try) and some amazing cuts of meat. Our server Shannon was the best but the whole restaurant took care of each other to make sure the guests had a great experience and if any needs could be met they were. The upstairs was just so relaxing and cozy and classic. This place is worth the drive and the town is also nice to stroll. Their barrel aged cocktails were so very yummy that it was hard to choose. We met friends for their birthday so it’s a great place for a small gathering to share or the perfect spot for a romantic meal. The sides are large portions so technically you can split them but it’s so easy to each get a different one and share. You also got to choose a knife for your meal...and they were Damascus with such a pretty handle. It is a little more to get the specialty steaks but as a steak lover it is hard to find the quality that they had and it is hands down worth the price! ”
“ My husband and I celebrated our 6-year anniversary here, and it couldn’t have been more special. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. Our waitress, Linda, was absolutely amazing—so attentive, warm, and thoughtful. My husband has a gluten allergy, and Linda, along with the kitchen staff, went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and ensure he had delicious, safe options to enjoy. The food was not only beautifully presented but incredibly flavorful. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs. Thank you for making our night so memorable. Highly recommend this place for any special occasion—or just a really great meal! ”
“ The atmosphere here is elegant. As they walk you through the Vault doors you feel a strange, but welcoming sensation. I was to excited and tore my steak up before I took my picture but you will not be disappointed with the amazing flavor the ribeye had. 10 stars if possible! ”
“ The whole experience from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, was 5 star worthy. We went in on a late Saturday evening for a special Mother's Day dinner. First off, the atmosphere when you walk in, you get immediate speak-easy, prohibition era vibes. The grand staircase, the bar, the decor you can tell was carefully thought and designed specifically for this space. We were greeted immediately by the host. She offered for us to go check out the upstairs area and look around at the building as she checked to confirm our table was ready. As she walked us to our table, she offered some history of the building, explaining the old bank as we walked through the old vault and wine cellar. Which was stunning! We were seated and immediately were greeted by our amazing server, Shannon. She was so knowledgeable and explained everything in detail since this was our first time dining with CBT. Although we had a late reservation and were close to their "last seating" policy, she took her time to go over the specials and details about the menu. We didn't feel rushed at all. We started off with the most delicious espresso martini (of course) and the scallop special. The scallops literally melted in our mouths. For our entrees, we got the steak special, the shrimp Alfredo, and then then spinach, and sweet potato as sides. Every single bite was mind-blowing. The steak was delicious, so much flavor. The alfredo was creamy, and the sides were just right. Oh, and can't forget the focaccia bread and oil dip with tomatoes. And of course, we ended with dessert and couldn't pick just one. So we got the cream brulle and their newly added black cherry cheesecake - both so divine, and although we were stuffed from our meals, we wouldn't put down our spoons. The support staff we interacted with throughout our time were all so nice and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed, and again, we didn't feel rushed or unwanted at all. Shannon was very friendly and was chatty with us as well, even though I believe we were her last table of the night. We were so distracted by all of the amazing food that we forgot to take photos of everything. The only negative I can think of is now that we've been here, we are going to want to go back often! We won't be able to splurge, but nonetheless, we will be visiting again very soon! ”
“ Short hand: fire af! Highly recommend, worth the money. Long hand: I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant, though unfortunately, I didn’t get pictures of the appetizers. We started with the chef’s pick mussels, and I have to say, they did not disappoint! The flavors were spot on. We also had the Woodfired Artichoke Dip, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For my entree, I went with the Cedar Plank Scottish Salmon, and it was perfection on a plate! Cooked just right and full of rich, smoky flavor. I regret not getting pictures of my sister and dad’s meals, but everything we had was top-notch. To top off the meal, we indulged in the Black Velvet Cheesecake, and it was hands down the most beautiful dessert I’ve ever been served. Not only was it visually stunning, but it was also incredibly delicious! A perfect end to a fantastic meal. ”
“ Absolutely phenomenal experience at Community Brew and Tap! We tried a little bit of everything—steaks, seafood, burgers, salad—and every single bite was incredible. Even the bread had us raving. The smoked cream corn was next-level, and the Brussels sprouts might just be the best we’ve ever had. Drinks? Flawless. Desserts? Unreal. Our server Mary Clair was amazing—friendly, attentive, and really made the night special. Honestly, not one thing to complain about. Just a perfect meal from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back! ”
“ We booked our reservation through open table , I highly recommend reservations and I’m sure they do too. We haven’t been here in six months so we were excited to be going back . The restaurant was built from the old Community bank and trust building ,hence , Community Brew and Tap. I just to frequent Cornelia growing up and worked at the movie theater(the Grand , I think ) that was right near the bank when I attend North Ga tech. We arranged bed a few minutes before our reservation by a friendly gentleman who alerted the upstairs hostess we were there. We took a seat to wait for our table to be ready . Behind the hostess stand is a nice bar and the bar tender seemed well skilled at his craft and had plenty of knowledge about his drinks . I’m a people waver by the way lol. We were called and directed to the upstairs hostess who too, us to our booth. Large circular booth that you scoot in to . There are large chandeliers , and exposed brick walls and exposed ceiling, all which we loved . We were greeted by our server , Shannon , and let me tell you she was right on point . She greeted us and asked if it was our first time , then asked if we’d like to hear the specials . She went over the specials. My wife ordered a glass of wine and the house made bread was brought out . It was good , served with an oil and vinegar dipping plate with diced tomatoes and cracked pepper I believe. I ordered the Caesar salad , ribeye , creamed corn and Brussels sprouts. My wife got the salmon with rice . Our salads arrived and we started our journey , the Caesar dressing was fantastic and the perfect start. My steak arrived and the young man asked me to cut it to be sure it was the right temperature, it was spot on perfect . The steak was able to be cut with a fork , but I did use my knife some . My wife loved her salmon , the cream corn is to die for and I highly encourage people to try it . The Brussels sprouts were okay , a little over fried in my opinion but not enough for me to mention and my wife loved them . For dessert , I did the cinnamon apple cake with house made cinnamon ice cream , and the dish was smoked at that . The other dessert we had was the creme brulee and it did not disappoint , but the cake was the star and I loved the smoky flavor . This was a great great outing and I will not wait six months so I won’t be able to review again The perfect complement to the evening was Shannon, she knew when to be there and when to not . She was a delight to chat with and we felt very special. I will definitely ask for her next time , thank you to the chefs and the entire staff and management, as the night was a true work of art ”
“ I honestly cannot say enough good stuff about this place. First off atmosphere, it is in the old bank and you can see the history of the building and the town from the second you walk in!! Staff is amazing! The hostesses helped me surprise my husband and they did perfect, he was so surprised! Our server Shannon was AMAZING! She was very friendly and personable, taking the time to make us feel so important! She described dishes in detail to help us know what we wanted to order and she even suggested great pairings to go with everything!! Truly all of the staff worked well together to make it an unforgettable evening! Now the food.... Seriously the best meal you may ever have. We got many things and sampled them around the table and it was so hard to pick a favorite! The brussel sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese was so tasty, the wagyu was literally melt in your mouth but I think my favorite was the bone in fillet with crab sauce, oh my goodness!!!!! The steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor and texture were unmatched! If you get the chance to go here, do yourself a favor... GO!!!! ”
